The train is loaded from the front but the best ride is to be had in the rear car (15). If you request it, they will normally let you go for it. The front seat is about as exciting as a game of mini golf, but ideal for granny. One further point: don't assume that this is just another roller coaster ride. That's a bit like saying the Space Shuttle's just another aeroplane. With their legendary attention to detail Disney have made this ride an experience you will never tire of. We have ridden it over 300 times and still head straight for it every day we are there!
